Sharmilla Ganesan is a features writer and culture critic with a Malaysian newspaper, where she writes about books, the arts and film. Her work has appeared in The Atlantic and ScreenPrism.com. Her short fiction can be found in the anthologies KL Noir: Yellow, Cyberpunk: Malaysia, and Micro Malaysians, as well as in literary journals Eastlit, Rambutan Literary and Thief. She was also longlisted for the 2016 D.K. Dutt Memorial Award for Literary Excellence. Her works have been featured on BFM 89.9 radio, the Voices 2016 showcase at the George Town Literary Festival, and the Yoni Ki Baat 2016 monologue showcase in San Francisco.
